When you’re admitted to Mizzou, an admissions adviser will evaluate which courses are transferable. Some details:
- Advanced Placement credit will not be awarded based on scores reported on college or university transcripts; please have your official score reports sent to Mizzou directly from the College Board.
- Dual credit must be evaluated by admissions prior to award.
- All courses transferring from community colleges will transfer as lower division credit.
- If you have been attending another college in Missouri, check out our transfer course equivalency information.
Important: Each Mizzou school and college determines which transfer credits meet requirements for its degree. For example, what counts toward the math graduation requirement for an arts and science major may not count toward the math graduation requirement for a business major.
Generally, courses completed at a regionally accredited institution and oriented toward a baccalaureate degree will be accepted if each grade is C or better. Exceptions: technical, vocational or remedial courses, or courses from non-regionally accredited institutions.
Advanced standing credit in a foreign language awarded by previous institutions will not transfer to Mizzou. Such credit can be requested at Mizzou after the student has successfully completed a course in that language at equal level to the course last completed or the next level at Mizzou.
Military Training credit evaluated by the American Council on Education is not transferable to Mizzou.
To have credit-by-examination results considered for credit, please request that your official score reports be sent to Mizzou. |
