Like FIGs, Learning Communities give students the opportunity to learn more about a specific academic area or other common interests by housing a group of students with similar goals and interests together.
Open to undergraduate students at all levels (FIGs are for freshmen only), Learning Communities focus on topics such as nursing, business, service learning, multiculturalism and education. Learning Communities are typically sponsored by an academic department or division. Explore suggested Learning Communities by major (PDF).
Whether a Learning Community is offering tours of the University hospital facilities to nursing students, practice rooms and a student gallery to fine-arts students, or contact with successful entrepreneurs to business students, members benefit from the special access to Mizzou faculty and like-minded students. You’ll make friends and get the help you deserve to explore your interests and prepare for your future. More about Learning Communities … |
