Costs and Financial Aid
Financial Aid for Future Students

Backed by our extensive career services and helpful alumni network, a Mizzou degree is an investment that really pays off. Just as important: We can help you and your family make that investment. In fact, we offer millions in financial assistance every year. On average, 80 percent of our students receive some financial assistance (scholarships, loans, etc.).

Typically, your financial aid package will include one or more of the following:

  • Federal loans: Low-interest loans offered by the federal government; in most cases, these loans do not have to be repaid until after graduation unless you withdraw from classes.
  • Grants: Gift aid that does not need to be repaid; it is typically awarded according to financial need.
  • Work-study: Part-time, on-campus jobs.

In addition to your financial aid package, you also may receive an academic scholarship.
